Winterton

Winterton

Just a few photos we took last week at Winterton beach…  We’re really enjoying our Christmas holidays, and the weather has been nice (but cold!). I’ve got more photos to share, but I haven’t had time to edit them. We’re leaving for Wales tomorrow, where we won’t have internet – so no updates for a while… I’ll try upload more photos when we’re back next weekend. Happy 2009 to everyone!!!

De Rijp is a very Dutch looking village in between lots of drained land – you can’t get it much “Dutcher” than there, and the good thing is that it’s largely left alone by tourists….

Sunrise/sunset

Sunrise/sunset

Who cares that the sun doesn’t come above the horizon, when you get sunrises melting into sunsets, for hours, like this: And a panoramic view of the sky, it was so beautiful!

First aurora of the season

First aurora of the season

Well, for me at least! Though last week we did see some, but it was very faint and not worth taking a photo. Tonight for a short time they were quite active and I managed to get a few pictures from our balcony. Thanks to Sevim who warned me!
